Dr. Pyatt’s boys, Anson, Leeson, Graeson and Edison, keep him busy outside of the office with activities ranging from Comic-con to sports practices and large amounts of camping (or glamping as his wife, LeAnn, calls it). The boys have by far been Dr. Pyatt’s greatest adventure, but he lives for experiences. Many continuing education hours have been held on a mountainside in Idaho (ask him about him getting lost) and in the rivers of Northeast Florida (he’s not a fan of gators).
The Kansas City Chiefs are near and dear to Dr. Pyatt’s heart, and he can tell you almost every play from last season. He has attended nearly every game since his undergraduate studies at William Jewell in Kansas City, and his doctorate studies at University of Missouri Kansas City. While waiting for football season, or fall to the rest of us, Dr. Pyatt grills and chills on his back patio and watches his herd of turkey and deer or Leeson’s chickens go by with his trusty watchdog, Batman, ever by his side.

02. Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a simple treatment used to enhance the natural brightness of your smile. For those who enjoy coffee, wine, or tea, a teeth whitening treatment can help erase surface stains and restore the beauty of your teeth.
If you decide teeth whitening is the right treatment for you, we will begin by making impressions, or a mold, of your teeth to create custom plastic whitening trays. The trays are worn with a special whitening solution for 2-4 hours each night for four to six week depending on the degree of staining. By week four, you should begin to see significant improvement in the whiteness of your teeth.
Please note, it is normal to experience some tooth sensitivity during the whitening process. If you experience any sensitivity, talk to us about ways to reduce this potential discomfort. Any sensitivity will diminish at the end of your treatment.

03. Cosmetic Bonding
Bonding is an alternative to veneers (which uses tooth-colored porcelain overlay), using bonding liquid and composite resin that can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked or discolored. Composite resin is a filling material created to resemble the natural color of your teeth.
Unlike porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding can be completed in one visit. The procedure begins by lightly etching the surface of the tooth to remove some surface enamel and then applying a bonding agent. Once the bonding liquid sets, the composite resin is placed and shaped by our skilled dentist. When set, the resin is trimmed, smoothed and polished to restore your tooth’s natural appearance and function.
